If you’re looking for the total package, then look no further than Hotel Bel-Air. Located in the canyon hills, this exclusive hotel provides an escape from the city. The Presidential Suite compound, measuring 6,775 sq ft, is all about privacy. Enter from the back, through the hotel, through two sets of double doors to a yard with a private pool and outdoor lounge and dining areas.

On the other side of the compound is another alfresco area with a Jacuzzi and fireplace in a Spanish-style courtyard. The suite has a dining room with seating for 10; a professional chef’s kitchen with Wolf, Sub-Zero and Miele appliances; a study; a wet bar; and a living room with a grand piano. The luxury is in the details here: The dining room walls are hand-painted, and there are tooled leather doors, vaulted ceilings, arched floor-to-ceiling windows and limestone floors.

Check into the French chateau-style Peninsula Beverly Hills for a stay in one of its rooms or bungalows. The top-tier room is The Peninsula Suite, also known as the Green Suite. Partiers love The London West Hollywood. The hotel’s Penthouse, located on the hotel’s 10th floor and designed by British fashion designer Vivienne Westwood, measures a sprawling 11,000 sq ft. Enter through a private contemporary hall that leads to a 6,000-sq-ft space with original art. Open the double doors to the large foyer and 2,000-sq-ft Grand Salon — an open entertaining space decorated with colorful art, large sofas and Vivienne Westwood cushions and upholstery, plus polished stone floors, bespoke cabinetry and a back wall with a built-in bookcase and Verre Eglomise mirror panels. On either side of the grand salon sits an atrium with skylights and a water feature cascading down into a pool below. The master bedroom has a king-size four-poster bed, coffered ceiling and a Vivienne Westwood wall hanging titled Adventure.

The en-suite master bath offers a mirrored dressing room and hand-drawn Westwood tartan plus a freestanding tub. The suite — Los Angeles’s largest — was created by Gonzalez Architects and designed in collaboration with Richmond Design and Westwood.

One of the most iconic hotels in Beverly Hills is the Beverly Wilshire. Famous for setting the stage in films such as Pretty Woman, the hotel has been in the limelight for the past 95 years and is part of the National Register of Historic Places. It has 395 rooms split among two wings — the Wilshire Wing and the Beverly Wing.
